Things have been very radio rental around here recently.

Its well over a month since I came back from FOSS4G07 and I’m still trying to get my head round some of the stuff that went on. Its been a very busy month for me at work. I’ve been chasing my tail on a number of projects and really need to rework some of our internal project management techniques to make better use of our tight resources – mental note to re-read all those scrum posts I’ve starred.

I’ve been working with some friends from the US who I met at FOSS4G on some interesting integration work between Google Earth and ArcSDE using MGOS and FDO sandwiched in-between, its early days but we’ve learnt some valuable lessons and its good to work on this so close after the conference in Victoria.

In between work commitments I’ve started nzopengis and also I’m in the middle of organising Geeky in Waiheke – an OSM mapping party, both of which are turning out to be great ways to meet new people in the GIS/GI industry here in New Zealand.

Last week I was presenting a couple of things are the New Zealand ESRI User Group Conference – my practical cookery class in GeoRSS seemed to go down well, its proving difficult finding time to develop my basic ArcGIS GeoRSS exporter, but its on the list of things to do.

Looking forward to catching up with the rest of my life this weekend.
