Its hardly ‘top of the pops’ but I think this is a really valuable post, and great for people like me who want to get a handle on what is involved with working with ArcGIS Server. And the best thing about it is it’s written by Sterling Quinn – what an awesome name!
I have been farting around with the Mapstraction API and have a sample here Its a really simple way to code up applications using a single common abstracted API over the different mapping data providers and their associated javascript API’s Not sure how the roadmap will implement common wrappers over potentially divergent development paths though?
